Chad Henning was born in Pretoria in 1967 and completed his education there, including his National Diploma in Photography in 1992. South African Communications appointed him as a photographer in 1993 where he traversed South Africa focussing on Development and Education projects. Shortly after covering the historic 1994 South African elections, he left for Europe to travel.

On his return, Chad made his way to Cape Town where he worked as a black and white photographic printer, perfecting his darkroom skills. Digital photography brought new challenges and possibilities and Chad incorporated them into his work . Combining new knowledge to his established vision to further his career as an advertising photographer, he has won several awards in the industry. These include  Bronze at Cannes Lions , Gold and Bronze at the Loeries along with Silver at the European Epica awards.

Chad shoots medium format Leaf digital and Nikon D3X to deliver the highest quality files to his clients. His photographic vision and technical execution bring conceptual scamps to "reality". His planning and timing combine to capture the moments desired, consistently and to his own standards.

He has always thrived on variety and his extensive portfolio reflects this. Equally comfortable in natural beauty, facing a corporate board or challenging advertising briefs, Chad's desire to create a memorable image is constant.

A keen spearfisherman, offshore angler and underwater hockey player he has managed thus far to remain in one piece.
